The Arkansas Department of Human Services provides a wide variety of human and social services, including:

  • SNAP (formerly food stamps)
  • Medicaid
  • TEA
  • Family Services: from counseling to job placement
  • Children’s Services: adoption, day care, child abuse prevention
  • Senior Services: senior centers and Arkansas aging services
  • Disabled Services: helpful resources and valuable services for independent living
  • Health Services: Medicaid, mental health, and substance abuse resources
  • Juvenile Services: alternative residential services and delinquency prevention programs
  • Citizens in Need: telephone hotlines, food stamps, and shelter information
  • Community Services: commodity, emergency services and grant program information
